I am a cognitive behavioural therapist and also a hypnotherapist using Hypno-CBT®. Cognitive behavioural therapy, when combined with hypnosis, is a really powerful and effective way to change your habits, thoughts and feelings.

The main thing is that we will set achievable goals for you in therapy and then work towards achieving them together. It isn't about delving into your past or working out why you think or act a certain way... it's about working on today and what you can shift now to make positive changes.

What is hypnotherapy?

When it comes to hypnotherapy, we don't talk about 'putting you in a trance', it isn't anything like what you may have seen on stage or on television. In hypnosis, you are fully aware, alert and completely in control at all times, in fact hypnosis is very much something you do yourself and I just guide and teach you the skills.

Most of the therapeutic work is done outside of hypnosis but we use it to practice and rehearse coping skills in certain situations using relaxation and imagery to bring about lasting change. It's what makes this technique so powerful and one of the quickest forms of therapy you can undertake.

I offer online appointments at your convenience and run morning, evening and weekend clinics in Newent for those who need an 'out of hours' appointment.

What can I help with?

Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy, also known as Hypno-CBT®, combines hypnosis, somatic awareness training, mindfulness and cognitive behavioural therapy.

Using this technique I can help individuals of all ages overcome challenges or work towards goals in their lives.
